The resort of Laganas is the most heavily geared towards nightlife on

island, such as Zeroes, Rescues and Cocktails and Dreams.

popular spot for young Brits looking for some fun in the sun. With loud
music and cheap drinks, you will find this a very busy resort in the
middle of August.
The resort of Laganas, around 6 kilometres from Zante Town, is the
biggest and most commercial resort on the island. This is the nightlife
hub of Zante – if you are after bars, pubs and clubs this is the place
for you! Laganas is largely geared towards young people out for fun in
the sun and there are plenty of clubs, restaurants and beach bars to
make sure they have a great time on holiday in Zakynthos.
The famous Zante beach of Laganas, at approximately nine kilometers
in length, is one of the longest beaches in Greece. You will find the
busy stretch of Laganas beach just off the main Laganas resort street.
Laganas is a favourite holiday spot for young people coming to Greece
for fun in the sun.
All along the long sandy beach you will find a wide selection of
beach bars, as well as sun beds and umbrellas for hire. From Laganas
beach you can also take a number of boat trips. If you want to explore
the South West of Zakynthos by boat you can head off from here to the
Keri Caves, or Marathonisi Island, or for some turtle spotting of the
Caretta Caretta who nest in the summer months in Laganas bay.

Personally, we prefer the beachfront restaurants and bars in Laganas
– they are a calmer, cooler, right on the sea and far more up-market. As
you look at the sea, on the left handside of the beach you will find
Cool Peppers Restaurant and Bistro Beach Bar. They are open from morning
till late at night. They are located right on the sea with great decor
and a fantastic ambience. Cool Peppers has the best DJ in Zakynthos,
ensuring great music to match the fantastic food. Cool Peppers is
spacious and really comfortable, with a creative and tasty menu. Plus,
the service at Cool Peppers on Laganas beach is super-friendly - you
will want to go back again and again.
On the right hand side of Laganas Beach you will find Cheers, Med
Version, and Cafe del. Med Version Restaurant in Laganas, Zakynthos,
provides exceptional modern decor, a great variety of food on the menu
and beautiful views over to Cameo Island in the distance. With fine
Mediterranean and international cuisine, you can be sure of a great meal
in a classical ambience as the waves roll in. There is also scheduled
weekly musical entertainment at Med Version restaurant and lounge bar.
Right next door to Med Version on Laganas beach, is the hip and
trendy Cheers bar, which is open till late. This is a great chill out
bar with a real eastern feel. They have lounge chairs on the beach at
night, really cool music and a variety of beverages. Cheers is popular
with the local people of Zakynthos as well as tourists – always a good
sign!
A little further up from Cheers, on the right hand side of Laganas
Beach, you will find Vezal and Cafe del Mar.
One of the best Greek nights in Laganas is hosted at the Vezal Greek
restaurant. You will really enjoy a great meal under the palm umbrellas
at Vezal and after dinner you can dance the night away Greek style. The
Vezal Greek nights are renowned for having the best Greek bouzouki and
Greek dancers on the island - all waiting to teach you a Greek step or
two!
As well as the pubs, clubs and restaurants, Laganas also has a host of
shops. Within Laganas you will find everything from clothes, leather
goods and souvenirs to supermarkets, bakeries, jewellery shops and
vehicle hire.
