Surrounded by countryside and mountains, the region of Keri has some
lovely walks, through forests, fields and mountains. You can also drive
up to the Keri Lighthouse to watch the sunset into the sea.
The Zakynthian seaside village of Limni Keri, situated in the south
west of Zakynthos, is a charming spot for a holiday or even just to
spend the day. A small pebble beach along the village seashore of Limni
Keri is lined with restaurants, cafes and shops.
The region of Keri is popular with Greeks and tourists alike
throughout the summer season. This area has been developed in Greek
village style, rather than as a typical tourist resort.
There are a number of villas, studios and small hotels providing
accommodation in this region. Often set within the olive groves, and
away from any sort of hustle and bustle, Keri is a great region to stay
in if you want a tranquil Greek island holiday. There are no nightclubs
or large bars in this area – just a few small beach front bars and
cafes.
The beach at Keri is narrow and pebbly – but really very pretty. The
water here is crystal clear and turquoise blue. There are a number of
sunbeds along the beach to ensure you have a really comfortable day.
The Zante harbour at Keri is a popular departure point for boat trips
to the Keri Caves and Marathonisi island. Marathonisi Island lies
opposite Keri and the Keri Caves are just around to the right of Keri –
a close boat trip from here. These two boat trips are always spectacular
and are a must if you are holidaying in the Keri region.
There is a great diving center at Limni Keri. From here you can try a
supervised deep sea dive whether you are a beginner or an expert. There
are even week long courses available for those who like to keep busy
during their holiday.
