Argassi has a beach that runs the whole length of the resort –
offering golden sands and shallow turquoise waters. The beach offers
many water sports too, so you can choose to either skim across the waves
or relax under the sun all day!
Situated in the southwest of Zante or Zakynthos is the resort Argassi.
Just 5 kilometres outside Zante Town, Argassi is set at the foot of the
imposing Mount Skopos. The central location of Argassi on the island of
Zante means that if you fancy a change from the beach you can head into
Zante Town or one of the other resorts. You can even drive up Mount
Skopos if you are feeling brave, and take in the spectacular views
surrounding the beautiful old monastery at the top.
The resort of Argassi has developed around the beach here, and is now
one of the most popular resorts on the island. The region of Argassi is
compact and comfortable, with a great selection of amenities and shops
all within easy reach of the beach. Argassi beach is easily accessible
with parking available nearby.
Being one of the larger tourist resorts on the island, there are
plenty of facilities on Argassi beach to make you comfortable during
your day at the beach in Zante. The Argassi beach is lined with tavernas
and hotels where you can eat during the day and night. Many of the
hotels have swimming pools right on the sea – so you can go between the
sea and the pool throughout the day.

Argassi is a very lively tourist resort, very popular and usually
crowded in the busy summer months of July and August. Numerous hotels,
studios and rooms to let are available for accommodation in the resort
and in the area around; they are open from May to October.
In the
evening in Argassi, many taverns and restaurants offer good Greek and
International food. You will also find many bars, cafes, and pubs with
hot music, usually full of tourists. There is also live entertainment on
offer in Argassi throughout the summer and you will be able to find out
whats on by looking at the advertising boards outside the bars. Another
fun evening activity is mini-golf – you will find two courses in Argassi
offering fun for all the family.
There are also plenty of shops to browse around in the evening for
souvenirs and holiday treats!
Holidays in Argassi can be either quiet
– if you stay on the outskirts – or lively in the centre where the large
selection of bars and nightclubs will keep you partying all night!
