There is plenty of accommodation available in the resort, including
hotels, studios and apartments and also a camping ground situated only a
few metres from the beach.
Alykes has plenty of shops, restaurants and bars available. We love
the Olympic Kitchen Restaurant in Alykes – serving some of the finest
cuisine throughout the summer. There are a number of bars in Alykes
where you can enjoy a pint or a cocktail during your summer nights in
Greece.
Alykes is the last resort along the east coast of the island,
sitting just 2 kilometres along the coastline from Alykanas. Alykes
caters well for tourists while maintaining a peaceful holiday ambience.
It is considerably quieter than some of the livelier resorts more
central in Zakynthos such as Tsilivi, Kalamaki and Laganas.
With a gorgeous white sand beach, beautiful scenery and a very
peaceful atmosphere, Alykes has grown to be a popular resort for a
relaxing break away.
Alykes is a charming tourist resort situated 17 kilometres from the
town of Zakynthos. The beach is the main attraction here – long and
sandy, with crystal clear waters, gradually sloping into the sea. There
are beach beds dotted along the beach, as well as a number of beach bars
and tavernas, to ensure that you are comfortable and catered for
throughout the day. The golden sand is just the thing to relax on and
the brilliantly blue sea her offers all kinds of exciting opportunities
like windsurfing and paragliding.
If you take a break from the beach, a great way to see the rest of
Alykes is to hire a bike – that is if you've got enough energy after a
strenuous day sunbathing! From this area walking or cycling in the
surrounding countryside is a popular pastime for visitors, or exploring
the smaller villages inland.
