Agios Sostis is a quiet resort close to the busy resort of Laganas
in Zante Zakynthos Greek Islands -
you can drive into the nightlife from here or you can stay in Sostis
for relaxing days and evenings by the sea.
The shallow and crystal clear waters of Agios Sostis make it the
perfect choice for families with small children. The beach is narrow,
and not one of the most spectacular on the island. However, it offers a
pretty view over to Cameo Island on the left and Turtle Island on the
right. There are a number of sunbeds and umbrellas dotted along the
beach here to ensure you have a comfortable day at the beach.
Bars, cafes and restaurants are located along the coastal road at
Agios Sostis, overlooking the beach. There is a mini-market to provide
you with all your holiday needs, as well as a fantastic ceramics
workshop with handmade pieces for you to admire and buy.
Along the South West Coast of Zante the resort of Agios Sostis is
small and charming – retaining a real Greek feel. Agios Sostis is
perfect for those who want a quiet, relaxing Greek Island holiday with
plenty of activities and excursions available too. From Agios Sostis you
are a short boat trip from the Keri Caves, Marathonisi Island and in the
perfect place for Turtle Spotting. You can also reach the larger resort
of Laganas from here – just a few minutes drive away.
The beautiful beach resort of Agios Sostis is situated on the South
West coast of Zante between the resorts of Laganas and Porto Koukla.
Agios Sostis beach is just 1 kilometre around the coast from the busy
resort of Laganas, but with a much more peaceful ambience.
There are two beaches within the area of Agios Sostis. The first is a
small bay located on Cameo Island. Cameo is an island slightly to the
left of the resort of Agios Sostis just across from Agios Sostis
harbour.
Cameo Island is reached by a rickety wooden bridge from Agios Sostis.
You can visit the island by day and night. During the day there is a
sweet little beach for a swim and a charming stone bar offering
refreshments. In the evenings the Cameo Beach Club becomes a disco -
popular with youth on holiday in Zakynthos.
Around the corner from Cameo Island, the main village of Agios Sostis
is a very pretty little resort. Agios Sostis offers a small sandy beach,
dotted with sun beds and fabulous tavernas. The beach here looks
directly onto Turtle Island and from here you can depart on a turtle
spotting trip, rent taxi boats to Marathonisi Island, or even take a
trip to the more distant Keri Caves.
