Zante island day trips to Olympia
From Zante you can easily take a day trip to Olympia, the birth place
of the Olympic games.
All major travel agents in all of the main Zante resorts provide the
day ticket, with easy bus collection from your resort to take you to the
port from where the ferry departs.
A day trip by boat and coach to Olympia from Zante makes for a great
day out. The trip to Olympia from Athens is an all day trip, departing
from the port in Zakynthos to Killini. You then connect with an air
conditioned coach at Killini for the trip to Olympia, which takes about
an hour and a half.
Once you arrive at Olympia you will have an experienced guide who
will take you on the tour of Olympia. You will learn about the history
of Olympia, along with the religious significance, and of course the
archaeological aspects of Olympia. This is a fascinating touch to your
