TRIPS TO ATHENS FROM ZAKYNTHOS

beautiful ancient acropolis perched on a hill looking over Athens. The
views from the top of the acropolis are really stunning and you get a
fantastic taste of ancient Greece!
The new acropolis museum, located close to the base of the acropolis,
is a really enjoyable experience for history fans and general tourists.
The displays here are stunning and there is a great video presentation
on the top floor giving you a general understanding of the history of
the acropolis.
Many of the bus tours to Athens include in the price a night in a
hotel in Athens so you have a full day to enjoy the city and the sites.
There are plenty of cafes and restaurants, as well as vibrant city
streets to explore during your evening in Athens.
If you have the time, and enjoy a spot of history and adventure, a
trip to Athens could really enhance your holiday. Such a beautiful, busy
city, visiting Athens is a lovely day away from Zante!
If you don’t like the idea of the bus trip, or the organised
schedule, you could consider flying to Athens from Zante. The flight is
just forty- five minutes and leaves once or twice daily in the summer
with Olympic air or Aegean. This way you get to spend more time in the
city, seeing the sites you are interested in, and at your own speed.
