enjoy the thrill of watersports during your holiday in zakynthos

For many tourists coming to Zakynthos during the summer season, some of the highlights of their holiday come from the buzz of water sports activities available on many of the beaches around the island.

With everything from ringo rides, to paragliding, to a exciting jet skis on offer at the water sports huts in Zakynthos, you are sure to find something to keep you entertained at the beach.

Along most of the South West Coast beaches, predominantly those within the Bay of Laganas, water sports are forbidden due to the nesting of the Caretta Caretta turtles at the beaches here. Apart from a few pedaloes for hire, you will not find many water sports options along Kalamaki, Laganas or Agios Sostis beaches.

For more water sports, head out to the South and East coasts of the island of Zakynthos. Here the National Marine Park of Zakynthos allows water sports as there are far fewer turtles swimming around this part of the island.

On the South coast there are plenty of water sports options – at Argassi beach, Banana beach, and St Nicholas you will find water sports huts on the beach.

There is a FREE courtesy bus provided by the St Nicholas (otherwise known as St Niks) Watersports Center in Vasilikos. The bus picks tourists up from the main resorts such of Laganas and Kalamaki, and Argassi and delivers you back to your resort at the end of the day. This way you can enjoy the beautiful beach and the buzz of the many watersports on offer here.
