In particular on the South coast there are plenty of water sports options – at Argassi beach, Banana beach, and St Nicholas you will find water sports
huts on the beach.
Along the East coast of Zakynthos you will find water sports buzzing
on the beaches of Tsilivi, Alykanas and Alykes. During the day at the
beaches here you will see plenty of holiday makers flying high in the
skies, paragliding over the Ionian Seas. The pedaloes are also popular
here with families heading out around the bay for a little bit of Greek
Island adventure.
At the far end of St Nicholas beach in Vasilikos you’ll also find a
fantastic scuba diving school, with services that accommodate the needs
of all – from beginners to advanced. Whether you are an experienced
diver or a novice to the underwater world, there’s magic in the water at
St Nicholas Beach in Vasilikos.
For many tourists coming to Zakynthos during the summer season, some
of the highlights of their holiday come from the buzz of water sports
activities available on many of the beaches around the island.
With everything from ringo rides, to paragliding, to a exciting jet
skis on offer at the water sports huts in Zakynthos, you are sure to
find something to keep you entertained at the beach.
Along most of the South West Coast beaches, predominantly those
within the Bay of Laganas, water sports are forbidden due to the nesting
of the Caretta Caretta turtles at the beaches here. Apart from a few
pedaloes for hire, you will not find many water sports options along
Kalamaki, Laganas or Agios Sostis beaches.
For more water sports, head out to the South and East coasts of the
island of Zakynthos. Here the National Marine Park of Zakynthos allows
water sports as there are far fewer turtles swimming around this part of
the island.

There is a FREE courtesy bus provided by the St Nicholas (otherwise
known as St Niks) Watersports Center in Vasilikos. The bus picks
tourists up from the main resorts such of Laganas and Kalamaki, and
Argassi and delivers you back to your resort at the end of the day. This

watersports on offer here.
