Porto Vromi is located on the West Coast of Zakynthos, around 35 km from Zakynthos town. It is a small cove with a white sand pebbly beach bay. The drive down to Porto Vromi is steep and winding, exactly what you expect of a Greek Island West Coast beach Drive. The views from the road as you are driving down to Porto Vromi are spectacular, and the beach and boat trips at the bottom is worth a visit.

Others do simply go to Porto Vromi to enjoy swimming in the crystal clear turquoise seas at the beach. At Porto Vromi Beach you will not find facilities such as umbrellas or sunbeds; however, you will find pedaloes for rent, and a canteen serving snacks and refreshments.


Most people who head down to the beach at Porto Vromi use this as a launching pad to head off on a boat trip to Shipwreck Bay. There are a number of boat trips available from here and Porto Vromi provides a great chance to head out and enjoy time on the sea.

As your boat leaves the bay at Porto Vromi try to spot the stunning profile of the Sea God Poseidon, which is carved into the cliff on the left.
