Agios Sostis is a small beach looking
over to Turtle Island. The actual port at Agios Sostis also provides
the entrance to Cameo Island by way of a rickety bridge.
You can walk to the port at Agios Sostis and the Beach Club on
Cameo island directly from the beach at Laganas.
From the port at Agios Sostis you can walk on further around a
rocky penninsulr until you reach the village of Agios Sostis and the
small beach there.
Turtle spotting Boat trips depart fropm both the port at Agios
Sostis and the beach. you can also walk on from Agios Sostis to the
Tropics beach bar at the Gloria Maris Hotel from where turtle
spotting trips depart throughout the day.
The beautiful beach resort of Agios Sostis is situated on the South
West coast of Zante between the resorts of Laganas and Porto Koukla.
Agios Sostis beach is just 1 kilometre around the coast from the busy
resort of Laganas, but with a much more peaceful ambience.
The shallow and crystal clear waters of Agios Sostis make it the
perfect choice for families with small children. The beach is narrow,
and not one of the most spectacular on the island. However, it offers a
pretty view over to Cameo Island on the left and Turtle Island on the
right. There are a number of sunbeds and umbrellas dotted along the
beach here to ensure you have a comfortable day at the beach.
Bars, cafes and restaurants are located along the coastal road at
Agios Sostis, overlooking the beach. There is a mini-market to provide
you with all your holiday needs, as well as a fantastic ceramics
workshop with handmade pieces for you to admire and buy.
